Tambourin Chinois for Cello by Nathan Chan and Drew Petersen

Tambourin Chinois is one of my favorite pieces because it is such a cultural melting pot of musical identities. The composer, Fritz Kreisler, was an Austrian born violinist who decided to write a Chinese dance piece after being inspired by a Chinese street performer. I’d love to give you my own cellistic interpretation of this violin virtuoso favorite! Live performance from Charlotte White’s Salon de Virtuosi concert series on April 20th, 2015 in New York at the wonderful home of Mr. and Mrs. Bryden. Filme
