Legs of Steel are proud to announce a backcountry invitational big air event coming to your screens LIVE in the holding period 12-14th November 2022. Ritsch’s Roll, a backcountry invitational envisioned by Tom Ritsch will see 9 of the world’s top backcountry skiers descend upon the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier next weekend for a head-to-head format contest and battle it out for a life changing cash prize. Confirmed riders: Tom Ritsch AT, Markus Eder IT, Tanner Hall USA, Ferdinand Dahl NOR, Paddy Graham UK, Remco Kayser CH, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand CAN, Viktor Moosmann AT, wild card announcement TBC *Due to the current snow conditions in the alps and the secret location of the jump the decision has been made not to allow spectators to the event itself but you can tune in to see the full broadcast live on Youtube 12-14th November (official date and time TBA weather pending). The secret location holds the natural terrain for the perfect jump setting. The spot, discovered by local freeskier Tom Ritsch is so remote, no machinery can be on site at the 2400m high alpine location, to construct the feature there’s a dedicated shape crew to hand build this unique jump. The event will run in the form of a jam session that will be livestreamed during the weather window from 12-14th November. Riders will be judged on their 2 best tricks by a brand-new judging system, a system that has been under development by LOS for the past 2 years which will deliver indisputable results. “I’m super excited to have all these guys come to my home mountain of Kitzsteinhorn and finally have an event at the roll!
