SANDY the Hurricane for Percussion Trio by Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic

“Schlagwerk Wien Ensemble“ performs SANDY the hurricane, by Zivkovic. Piece inspired by Hurricane SANDY, that has caused huge troubles and forced planes to stay on ground, therefore forcing Nebojsa to improvise AD HOC at his PASIC 2012 recital, because other group members could not make it to PASIC due to cancelled flights.... Percussive Arts Society Invited Zivkovic for “Corection“ in 2013 and this is when Sandy was composed and world premiered. Performed by at that time Zivkovic’s students at the Music and Arts University of the city of Vienna. Schlagwerk Wien Ensemble is losely associated with the University and its members are current and ex students of Zivkovic. There is no fixed formation, we change as needed. Only constant parameter we have, is absolute ENTHUSIASAM and desire to make it as good as possible. Music is published by Ed.
