North Macedonian army hold NATO training amid war in Ukraine

North Macedonian army hold NATO training amid war in Ukraine. NATO held a training exercise at the Krivolak Army Base in central North Macedonia on Monday (April 11) with the participation of some 1,100 soldiers. The ex-Yugoslav republic became the 30th member of the military alliance in April 2020, ending a long process that included a change to the country’s name. Soldiers and tanks took part in an exercise which included target practice and helicopters. The NATO combat readiness evaluation took place from April 3-11. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, NATO has increased the amount of soldiers stationed at its eastern flank, with Lithuania and other Baltic states calling for more troops.
