China hopes to work with Norway on political settlement to Ukraine crisis during Qin Gang’s visit

China hopes to work with the Norwegian government to promote a political settlement of the Ukraine crisis, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang said on Friday. The immediate priority for the Ukraine conflict is to cease hostilities as soon as possible, Qin said, adding the ultimate goal would be to achieve a political settlement of the crisis through negotiations. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin announced on Friday the visit of Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui.
