Morris Harvey ? (1929)

No titles. Unidentified comedian - probably Morris Harvey. Probably filmed at Pathe Studio, London. A man in evening dress, wearing a top hat several sizes too small perched on the top of his head, walks up and down before a dresser and chair. He makes a small bow, takes the hat off and makes a fuss about having been given the wrong hat. A voice off-camera advises him to put his hat down and tell us a story. C/U of the man as he says “Some years ago, when we were having that little argument with Germany, I, in company with a few million others joined the army.“ He goes on to tell us a long story about being in the Royal Horse Artillery, going through the ’Rough Riding School’ and being given a brutish horse. While riding with the other new recruits, our man was called over to the sergeant who told him, ’I’ve never seen you on the stage, but you’re blinkin’ funny on an ’orse’.
