Humber Film (1940-1949)

HUMBER FILM A film to show some of the latest four wheel drive Humber vehicles in use with H.M Forces which are built primarily for roads. But, because of their special design, the vehicles can take to open country when necessity demands. The film explains some of their limitations and capabilities when they leave the road. The Humber four wheel-drive armoured car (tank), the Humber four-wheel drive pick-up truck, and the Humber four-wheel drive field ambulance are put to the test. The Humber light reconnaissance car mark III is also shown. Various good shots as the vehicles are shown going over a fallen tree, across rough terrain, negotiating craters and climbing and descending steep gradients. The commentary instructs the viewer on driving techniques in these areas. End title: “Remember! The skilful driver is the careful driver!
