Location: Heerlen, Holland / Netherlands Story about world cycling championship in Holland won by Eddy Merck of Belgium. Various shots of international cyclists preparing prior to start of race. Among those seen are the German Rudi Altig, and the Dutch cyclists Jan Jansen and Peter Post. MS. Mass start and shots of the pack during early stages. Various shots of Belgian racing cyclist Eddy Merck leading a small group and also more shots of the pack moving round circuit. MS. Jan Jansen on his own at one section of circuit. Various shots of the pack moving along and they are given food and drink while still riding. Various shots leading group of five and the sprint for the line and Eddy Merck just gets across first.
