No titles. Comedian Jock Walker.
Probably filmed at the Pathe Studio, London.
On a set dressed to look like the interior of an inn, Scottish comedian Jock Walker, dressed in traditional Scots garb of kilt and tam o’shanter, tells jokes to two men sitting at table and having a beer.
The first joke is about a Scottish man who comes down to London to go to the Wembley Exhibition. He meets an Englishman who he stays with for a week. At the end of the week the Englishman says “I don’t suppose a couple of quid would hurt you?“ and the Scotsman replies “Help me? It would be a Godsend!“.
Another joke is about an Englishman saving the life of a Scottish boy who was drowning. The boy’s father asks what the man did with the boy’s hat.
The last joke: a Salvation Army girl asks a Scottish man to spare a penny for the Lord. The man says he’s 70, so he’ll probably see the Lord before her and will give him the penny himself.
Cataloguer’s note: Jock finds all his jokes extremely funny (more than I do).
