Val d’Isere, France AVALANCHE DISASTER IN FRANCE. Two GV Pan over the Val d’Isere skiing resort after the avalanche has occurred. Various shots interior of the “Chalet“ where most of the 39 holiday-makers were killed. Rescuers are still in the wrecked hotel clearing the snow from rooms left just as the avalanche hit. Various shots of the devastation to the hotel interior. Outside the hotel, cars stand covered in the snow with only their roofs showing. Var. shots interior the small church in the village of Bourg Saint Maurice where the coffins bearing the bodies of the avalanche victims lay in rows guarded by French soldiers.
