Primo Carnera Boxer (1929-1930)

Primo Carnera - Boxer. Probably filmed in the Pathe Studio, London. M/S of the boxer Primo Carnera, dressed in a suit, standing with a considerably shorter man in front of a small boxing ring in the studio. The man introduces Carnera, saying he created a sensation last week at the Albert Hall when he defeated Jack Stanley in 1 min 40 seconds. He says Canera is now willing to box any man in the world, but the difficultly lies in finding an opponent. The man explains that Carnera is 6’ 9“ and weighs 20 stone 6 lbs. Carnera puts his arm out, over the head of the other man. They compare hand and feet sizes - Carnera certainly is a big man! The man ends by saying if there is any gentleman or lady (!) in the audience who would like to have a few rounds with Canera he will be very happy to oblige. They both bow and say thank you very much. Note: item is slightly out of synch throughout due to early sound recording. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PA
