Amsterdam, Holland, The Netherlands CONSTRUCTION IN ENLARGING AMSTERDAM’S HARBOUR. V.S. A long barge loaded with rocks and at marked spot in the Ijmuiden harbour the false bottom opens and the rocks slip through into water. V.S. Large pier going right out to form large arm into the harbour. Dumper truck with more rocks move to end of pier and drop their load to extend pier. A special rig called ’Stork’ helps with the pier.
