The Hovel, Middlesex. LS public house on River Thames. CU name “The Hovel“ on front of pub - it is written back to front and has a fake spider hanging over it. Interior. CU parrot in a cage. Various shots of bizarre artefacts on display around the pub. including a lion’s head with horns and a loaf of bread with a fake mouse crawling out of it. MS couple sitting at the bar, the landlord walks in - he is wearing a gas mask. The eccentric landlord puts some very old cheese on the bar, two girls nearby hold their noses. MS landlord, he removes gas mask and places peg on his nose. MS woman looking in mirror, putting on lipstick. A light behind the mirror switches on revealing a skull, the girl looks startled.
