The Wheel (1930)

Titles read: ’The Wheel - New version. In this novel wheel you can ride for miles - yet only move two feet’. Pathe Studio, London. M/S of a poor woman in a striped vest and pants (could be a swimsuit) spinning round and round on an exercise wheel. She is strapped in by the wrists and ankles and flops around like a rag doll - not very graceful! It looks like quite a painful experience! There is a dreadful scraping sound as the wheel goes round. Intertitle: ’One good turn deserves another - (This machine gets you slim while you whirl - not while you wait.)’. Then we see the woman turning round on the wheel, facing a man in vest and trunks. Then there are three of them on there - the woman and man plus another man, all spinning round together! Oo-er! FILM ID:3253.1 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
