Stromboli bursts into violent activity. Nature - in one of her grandest & most awful moods, as molten lava, slowly but inexorably, destroys all in its path.“ The Lipari Islands, off Sicily, Italy. Plumes of steam and smoke rise from a volcanic landscape. A wall of lava moves slowly forward. Scientists watch over the lava flow while priests pray that the volcano will stop. Steam and smoke rises as the lava moves forwards Small tress and shrubs burn as they catch flame from the heat. The lava moves quite fast (for lava) towards the camera. Clouds and steam mix in the sky. The cone of the volcano Stromboli (I think).
