Cocoa Growing (1966)

Ghana, Africa. VS growing, picking, ripening of cocoa beans for shipment. Cocoa pods cut from trees and carried in large baskets on workers’ heads. The pods are smashed open and cocoa beans pulled out on to a pile of large leaves spread on the ground and then covered with more leaves under the cocoa trees. The beans dried dark brown.
