King George V And Queen Mary Visit Welbeck (1910-1919)

Royalty. King George V & Queen Mary visit Welbeck - exact location of events unclear. Procession on street in rain; street decorated with flags; streamers etc. Group of young women in white uniforms - probably nurses sit on bench type seating in a stand. Some wear sweaters; coats; etc. Then shot all in white with coats off. Pan of group waving. Pan on more of crowd. Very clear shots of lots of smiling faces. Past the nurses again. - they could be factory workers I suppose. Sign in front of them - Long Live the King & Queen. Another slow pan on crowd - this time closer. People line a road cheering as royals drive past. We get a glimpse of the royals inside the second car. A band of Navy cadets & young women in Naval type uniforms stand in semicircle playing a welcome. Little boy in sailor suit stands in middle. LS Brick buildings says on side in large letters Welcome the King & Queen. Pan left on other decorated building; sign in shape of shield: Long Live the King and Queen. C/U 2 unknown men
