FOLSOM PRISON BLUES - Country Fingerpicking on the Martin DX Johnny Cash Guitar

I’ve been having so much fun with my new Martin SC-13E, that I’ve been ignoring my DX Johnny Cash model, so I figured I’d take a crack at arranging “Folsom Prison Blues“ for the acoustic guitar. I wanted to mimic that driving bass line the whole time, so that was the biggest challenge; but once I got my thumb hitting the root and five on the bass string, and getting a slap on the back beat... the rest started coming into focus. I also wanted to dial in a little bit of that rockabilly vibe, so I ran a direct signal from the Fishman MX pickup, and threw some subtle slap echo on it in the mix. 🔥 Please SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed the video!
