EN : Petrovaradin Fortress located in the city of Novi Sad in Serbia. Recent archaeological excavations on the site, but also in the region have allowed the discovery in the upper part of the fortress of an Upper Paleolothic village dating from 19000 to 15000 BC. Other foils in 2005 allowed the discovery of remains of the Bronze Age around 3000 BC, and showing remains of ramparts, symbol of a fortified site already at the time.
