’Concerned about their own safety’: Scathing assessment of NSW police

Sky News host James Morrow says Australia has become “so morally bankrupt” after footage emerged of pro-Palestine protestors chanting antisemitic slurs and burning the Israeli flag outside the Sydney Opera House. NSW Police attended the protest without subduing it as well as reportedly removing opposing Israeli protestors who were there to mourn their country’s casualties from the Hamas terrorist attack. “The police decide who gets to run the streets by the weight of numbers and whether or not there is a threat they will be violent,” Mr Morrow told Sky News Australia host Peta Credlin. “I interviewed Mark Spiro yesterday; he said that when he was arrested by the police and detained briefly, they said they were concerned about their own safety. “They didn’t want there to be any conflict because they didn’t want to get hurt. “Is this what the police are there for?”
