Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik: Russia’s newest combat drone

The S-70 Okhotnik (Hunter) is Russia’s newest unmanned combat aerial vehicle. The UCAV created at the Sukhoi Design Bureau was first unveiled in 2019. The S-70 prototype is 14 metres long and 3.3 metres in height, with a wingspan of 19 metres. The mass-produced drones are expected to be even bigger in the future. The S-70 Okhotnik is designed to carry out a wide range of missions in an autonomous mode. The S-70 B-1 prototype is currently controlled manually by three operators. The S-70 has a lot in common with the 5th generation Su-57 fighter, including its landing gear and engine. Another S-70 is now being built with an updated design and modernised hardware.
