Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland on pre-budget consultations, protest in Ottawa – January 31, 2022

Chrystia Freeland, the deputy prime minister and minister of finance, announces the launch of the federal government’s annual pre-budget consultations with Canadians. She also responds to questions from reporters about the ongoing protests in Ottawa against COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Freeland is also asked about the Bank of Canada’s latest interest rate decision.
