“Not The Best PR!” | UK’s Biggest Pub Group To Charge 20p More A Pint As Costs Surge‌

The UK’s biggest pub chain Stoneage Group has announced an increase of 20p more a pint during peak hours amid surging costs. The group said that 800 of its 4,000 pubs will introduce “dynamic pricing“ during evenings and weekends. Ian Collins says: “It’s not the best PR, when somebody says ‘it’s going to cost more money to buy a pint’.” Pub owner and campaigner Victoria Macdonald agrees, adding: “This can only seem to discourage customers in… I wouldn’t certainly envisage doing that in any of my pubs.” #talktv #talkradio #beer #pubs
