Buddha Dariya flows in the center of Ludhiana city once there was fresh water in this dariya. Now the sewage water & Industrial sludge water polluted it. 40 years ago the Ludhiana administration started planning to clean Buddha Dariya. Millions of public exchequer has been spent to clean green Dariya. But there is no positive result. In the name of Buddha Dariya, a number of Nagar Nigam & Canal Department employees filled their coffers. Few months ago Nagar Nigam Ludhiana made a plan to clean & green Dariya. They announced more than 600 crores rupees for this project. But all in vain. Nobody cares in India old man & old Buddha Dariya.
