Chinese New Year Parade Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival 温哥华春节大游行

The 2014 Vancouver Chinese New Year parade in Chinatown. Every year the parade takes the same route. Starting at the Millennium Gate, the parade winded its way down East Pender St., Gore St. and Keefer St. to reach its destination at The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese garden at Carrall St. The 2016 Vancouver Chinese New Year Parade [Year of the Monkey] aka Vancouver Chinatown Spring festival Parade Year of the Horse Celebration takes place on Feb 14, 2016 on Valentine’s Day. With God of Fortune leading the way, Dragon Dance, Lion and Kirin Dance, Folk Dance, RCMP, Police and Firemen Marching Bands, VIPs, Premier Christy Clark, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China Lui Fei 温哥华总领事刘菲, NDP leader Thomas Mulcair, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, MP Alice Chan, all participated. Firecrackers, Kung Fu demo, Korean karate, multicultural dance, Thailand, 汉服 Hanfu practitioners too. All in all more than 3,000 people took par
