Forest City is a $100 billion mega project in Malaysia being developed by China’s largest real estate developer Country Garden. It is an artificial island off the coast of Malaysia and in close proximity to Singapore. It was originally supposed to house luxury apartments to be sold to wealthy Chinese citizens. However, political tensions between Malaysia and China have ground development of the project to a near halt.
