CONSTRUCTION & USE OF A SAUNA GERMAN SILENT FILM XD10214

Dating to the 1930s, this silent German film shows the construction of a sauna. It is part 2 of a 2 reel film, unfortunately we don’t have the first half. At :21 logs are cut into lumber while at :30 the foundation is readied. At 1:28 a floor is created using tarps and sand. At 3:51 rocks are placed into a stove and a fire started. At 5:30 men enter the sauna for a steam. At 10:50 the men run from the sauna into a frozen river for a quick cool down before returning to the sauna. We encourage viewers to add comments and, especially, to provide additional information about our videos by adding a comment! See something interesting?
