Great white shark being saved by Ron and Valerie Taylor. Tangled in a steel rope,1970. The previous night Ron had slipped overboard from a rocking boat and landing in the water where large White sharks had be attracted with burly. The sharks had spared Ron that night, he “owed them a favor“ (he said). And so began the Australian side of the conservation movement to protect this species world-wide.
