!!DISCLAMER!! The entire animatic is a fan-made alternate universe timeline (AU) and consists of headcannons and events that I’ve created for the sake of creative storytelling. Please be aware of this fact! This animatic explores and develops the scrapped story concept of Echo Zane being Mr. E and how he would come to be. Part I explores the backstory of Echo and the trauma he endured to soon become his alter ego. Echo Zane was originally built to be a stand-in replacement of the original Zane that Dr. Julian created in hopes he could relive being with his son again after being separated from him. Unfortunately, Echo’s existence was instead a constant reminder that he would never see his real son again. In an attempt to bury his mistake, he locks Echo in the basement where he built him, leaving Echo to wonder for many years rotting away what he did wrong and only ever wanted to be loved by his father.
