Blues Medley featuring Clark Terry - Benny Carter Live At Princeton: Vol. 2

Benny Carter Live At Princeton: Vol. 2 Benny Carter, alto saxophone Clark Terry, trumpet/flugel Horn Hank Jones, piano Bucky Pizzarelli, guitar Milt Hinton, bass Grady Tate, drums Legendary trumpeter/vocalist Clark Terry joins Benny Carter for an inspired small group outing recorded live at Princeton University in 1973. Following in the footsteps of Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry was a wonderful entertainer, comedian, and vocalist, on top of his extraordinary skills on the trumpet. Carter, known for his modesty and decorum on the bandstand (although he did have his own understated sense of humor), enjoyed sharing the front line with the virtuosic Terry. Humor and swing bubble forth throughout, and this is no surprise, given the stature of the truly all-star rhythm section of Hank Jones, Bucky Pizzarelli, Milt Hinton, and Grady Tate.
