Typhoon Gaemi floods giant cities in China! Millions trapped in Guangdong!

In China, Typhoon Gaemi brought heavy rain to Guangdong Province, flooding two giant cities, Chaozhou and Meizhou. More than 400 mm of rain fell in Chaozhou in 24 hours. More than 90,000 people were preemptively evacuated. Several cities in Guangdong Province have raised their emergency response levels. An incredibly large amount of rain fell in Zixing, Hunan Province. A total of 624 mm of rain fell in the last 24 hours, breaking the record in Hunan Province. Typhoon Gaemi has hit cities in China’s coastal Fujian province, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. It then continued to move into densely populated interior areas of the country. Wind speeds at the epicenter of Gaemi exceeded 120 km/h. So far, almost 630,000 people in China’s Fujian province have been affected by the storm. Almost half of them were forced to flee their homes.
