Сражение под Уманью произошло в конце июля — начале августа 1941 года, в ходе наступления группы армий «Юг» вермахта на территории СССР. Привело к окружению (так называемый «Уманский котёл») и последующей гибели войск 6-й и 12-й армий Юго-Западного фронта и отдельных частей Южного фронта Красной армии. __________________________________________________________________________ The battle of Uman took place in late July — early August 1941, during the offensive of the army group “South“ of the Wehrmacht on the territory of the USSR.
