Landslides, Flooding Block Major Highway in Nepal

Heavy rainfall brought landslides and flooding to Nepal, blocking the main highway connecting most of the country to the capital of Kathmandu, Tuesday, July 21. Heavy equipment was being used to clear the debris from the highway so trucks will be able to bring in fuel and supplies. Since Nepal’s monsoon season began last month, at least 131 people have died and 48 are missing. (AP)
