Although it’s a well known fact that the screenplay for the film was adapted from a magazine article written by journalist Ehud Yonay, many aspects of the film’s visuals seem similar to “Air Power at Sea“ — a 1982 promo film made by Grumman to promote their weapons systems. Those included the iconic F-14 Tomcat and the EA-6B Prowler aircraft, which were shown operating on the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz in the Mediterranean Sea.
