The first commercial for peanut M&Ms suggests that the hard shell chocolate candies prevent messes -- “melts in your mouth, not in your hand.“ The commercial uses a combination of live action and animation to get its point across, and uses a Mars “good guys“ tag at the end. At :40, a group of kids are shown running towards a gigantic 3 Musketeers bar, with the tag line “It tastes this big.“ 3 Musketeers is a candy bar consisting of chocolate-covered, fluffy, whipped mousse. It was the third brand produced and manufactured by M&M/Mars, introduced in 1932.
