Israeli police beat mourners carrying coffin of Al Jazeera journalist slain in West Bank

Clashes erupted on Friday between Israeli forces and Palestinian mourners at the funeral of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh, who was killed in the West Bank. The reporter, Abu Akleh, had covered Palestinian affairs and the Middle East for more than two decades. She was shot while reporting on an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank on May 11. Police said they were forced to act as some chanting “political incitement“ and throwing stones at the police.
