Yulia Monastyrenko - “Gothic Venus“

“Gothic Venus“ was written during the 2020 pandemic, when the whole world was in a state of panic, misunderstanding what was happening, and the feeling that the whole way of life on our planet was changing. With this music, I broadcast my feelings about what was happening in that difficult period, the moment of struggle for life, for the joy of living, for the love of life. In my interpretation, Venus is love, beauty, joy, prosperity, and Gothic in this case is enslavement, darkness, the struggle of dark forces with light ones. But light in my interpretation wins over darkness. Good and evil often go “hand in hand“, but I believe that good is stronger and more creative, otherwise the world would not have survived to our time. I try to convey these feelings with my music. Whether I succeeded in this is up to you.
