Polish MP uses fire extinguisher to snuff out Jewish menora in parliament

A far-right Polish MP turned a fire extinguisher on a Jewish menorah in Poland’s parliament building. Grzegorz Braun caused a commotion with the stunt which came as MPs packed into parliament to watch Donald Tusk, the new prime minister, deliver a key policy speech. The menorah had been lit to celebrate Hanukkah. Video taken of the incident shows the MP grabbing a fire-extinguisher and then blasting the candles out on the menorah in the main hall of the parliament building. A Jewish woman, who was in the parliament building to celebrate Hanukkah, was blasted in the face with foam as she tried to stop Mr Braun, which left her face and clothes covered in white powder.
