NO8DO means ‘no me ha dejado’ ((Sevilla) has not abandoned me), and has been chosen as the Andalusian city motto more than 800 years ago. Its origin is not clear, some saying it comes from mythology, others thinking these words have been said by King Alfonso X. As nothing is proved, everyone has its own version of the motto’s history. For Mochakk, “NO8DO is a love letter from a Brazilian visiting Spain and getting mesmerized by the beauties of Spain, but still being unable to detach from the feeling of home, the feeling of being back in Brazil. A reference to me discovering the world but still paying homage and bringing my country and it’s wonderful, vast & rich musical history, exactly like the end of this musical journey should be. Built in 1929 for the Ibero-American Exhibition in Seville, it is a unique palace-square square with a total surface area of 50,000 square meters, and is divided in three parts: a palace, a square, and a canal.
