YUAN GONG QUAN Ape Movement Boxing Ripping Hand Single & Double Lying Lotus. 撕手单卧莲 和 撕手双卧莲 This video comprises Roots 1 & 2 of the total 12 Roots of Yuan Gong Quan. This is an unusual style that obviously patterns its forms after its direct usage. The basis of this style is a series of 12 “root“ forms which can obviously be practiced one right after the other. Each one is roughly the equivalent of two “roads“ with about fifteen to twenty movements in each road and some moves repeated. Applications are shown for many movements. The actions imitate an ape but not theatrically, more in usage. The fighting is organic and unpolished and in its energetic issuance of power somewhat resembles Tong Bei or Pi Gua, somewhat Baji and not a little unlike Yi Quan.
