Prayer for the swift rebirth of Shamar Rinpoche

His Holiness Karmapa Thaye Dorje chants a prayer for the swift rebirth of his root teacher, His Holiness Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche, who passed away in 2014. The 14th Shamar Rinpoche, Mipham Chokyi Lodro, recognized His Holiness as the 17th Karmapa according to tradition and passed on to His Holiness the precious Karma Kagyu transmission. All Karma Kagyu students worldwide are waiting for Shamar Rinpoche to take rebirth and to be found and recognized by His Holiness once more.
