Contemporary Two Story House Design With Central Courtyard

Casa Tigres is located on an orthogonal lot in a subdivision on the coast of Nayarit. Conceived as a vacation home, the central courtyard plays an important role in the development of the project around it. In this project the patio is the guiding axis of the project, around it are linked the dependencies of the architectural program, here is integrated a pool that connects with the side garden, and on the other side connects with the double height kitchen where when the sliding windows are opened the space becomes one. The strategic design of the connection between the central courtyard and the double height kitchen gave us the opportunity to play with cross ventilation, allowing the wind to circulate freely through each of the spaces, omitting the continuous use of air conditioning. The house is built on two floors, with an entrance marked by a wooden cantilever, which gives access through a side door with the central courtyard as a visual highlight.
