Building a Thatch House with Water Reed: Bushcraft Saxon House (PART 10)

We continue to build a log house in the woods using hand tools. We finish the thatch on the roof of the bushcraft saxon house. Using our hands and a piece of flat wood, we blend the thatching of the roof to make it better for rain to run off. I then climb the wood ladder to the top of the roof and tie in the ridge rolls ready for the final part of the roof build. Dad then mixes clay, straw and water and starts work on building the clay walls inside the shelter. We get a fire going and cook whitebait with fr
