The Hamas-run government in the Gaza Strip has dismissed the US’ airdropping of humanitarian aid into the besieged territory. It termed that an aid airdrop a theatrical and ineffective move. In a statement by the Gaza government media office, it said that “the aid airdrops also entail serious risks for Palestinians in Gaza, as some of them could land near the fence along the border with Israel and can prompt the Israeli military to fire on unarmed civilians seeking to pick up the aid items.
