Here’s some more vintage film of early 1960’s RC flying taken by Joe Unger. This was an AMA sanctioned contest at Lodi, Wisconsin. In this film are some of the very first digital proportional radios and the first engine mufflers we saw in action. Most of the airplanes were flown with reed-based radios. The black and gold Goldberg Jr. Falcon was built by my Dad to teach me to fly. His white and gold pattern airplane is shown near the end of the video.
