Led Zeppelin - Live in Los Angeles, CA (Aug. 21st, 1971) - NEW MERGE/BEST SOUND

Thanks to the recent unveiling of a brand new source of this show taped by Eddie Vincent, here is a brand new three source merge of the band’s first show in LA on their 1971 North American tour, put together by my friend ledzepfilm. This uses the new source for the first few songs. Sadly, Vincent was caught by Peter Grant himself and ordered to shut off his tape. Thus, he only captured the show up through Black Dog. A real shame, but this new source is the best sounding of all three sources. It’s very clear and well balanced. The other two sources are a bit more distant, but nonetheless still pretty clear. As for the show itself, this is a fiery performance. The band is full of energy and determined to prove themselves. Bonham in particular comes through exceptionally loudly. I’ve never heard his drums sound this powerful before or since. Plant’s voice is a bit strained and hoarse, but he still puts everything he has into his performance. Special thanks to Eddie Vincent, Jeff Allen, and Dave Melton for taping this show, as well as to ledzepfilm for putting this merge together! 0:00 Intro 1:08 Immigrant Song 5:06 Heartbreaker 12:04 Since I’ve Been Loving You 20:39 Black Dog 27:31 Dazed and Confused 48:28 Stairway to Heaven 57:06 Celebration Day 1:01:50 That’s the Way 1:08:40 Going to California 1:13:37 What Is and What Should Never Be 1:18:16 Whole Lotta Love 1:46:57 Weekend 1:51:11 Rock and Roll 1:57:08 Communication Breakdown 2:05:36 Organ Solo 2:07:36 Thank You Bootleg: ledzepfilm merge
