Pierre Poilievre calls on PM Trudeau to apologize for Parliament’s tribute to Nazi-linked veteran

Speaking with reporters ahead of his party’s weekly caucus meeting, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre reiterates his calls for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to apologize over a tribute that was given in Parliament to a Ukrainian who fought for a Nazi unit in the Second World War. The tribute took place during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s September 22 visit to Ottawa. House Speaker Anthony Rota apologized and subsequently resigned as Speaker for inviting and honouring the 98-year-old war veteran. (September 27, 2023)
