Flamenco dance technique practice: marcaje por sole and vuelta de pecho

As a beginner dancer you might wonder what is best for you to practice when you decide to put your shoes on.
In this video you’ll find two great steps that you can come back to whenever you are wondering what to do.
The first step is a marcaje por soleá. In this step you will be able to work on your compás, coordination of upper and lower body, weight transfer, the movement of your hands, fluidity of movement, your gaze and your breath.
Listen carefully to the feedback the José gives to see if those corrections help you also.
The second step is the vuelta de pecho, which in this exercise for soleá, is broken down to allow you to study each stage of the turn slowly.
When practicing the vuelta de pecho be sure that you don’t push yourself too hard and injure your back.
