Cottage pie (Shepherd’s) Follow me :) Ingredients Meat Filling 1 onion 3 garlic cloves 2 carrots 2 celery stalks 1 1/2 lb ground beef 1/2 cup Guinness 2 tbsp flour 2 tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 cup beef broth 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp fresh rosemary 1 tsp fresh thyme 1 cup frozen peas Mashed Potatoes 2 pounds potatoes 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup butter 3/4 cup cheddar cheese 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp pepper Prepare meat filing. Add onion and saute for 5 minutes. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute more. Add the diced carrots and diced celery and cook for a few minutes until slightly softened. Add ground meat and cook for 10-12 minutes. Stir in Guiness, add flour and stir to coat, cooking for 1 minute more.
