A Polymer Clay Tutorial: Colored Pencil on Clay

I almost trashed this tutorial. Yup. You see, a critical product for its success is no longer made. It’s the PYM2, the sealer, the stuff that holds the pencil in place on the surface. In the whole wide world it seems no one really knows of a replacement. Okay, apparently there are several that will work (check out Blue Bottle Tree for her take on this). The issue with sealants of this type is that they seem to melt clay. Not PYM 2, though and if PYM 2 works then somewhere on the planet there must be another. That’s where you come in - maybe you know of a product that seals and doesn’t melt. If you so, I know you’ll let the rest of us know. I love drawing on clay. I love colored pencils. I want you to know how to do it and love it, too. So, on we go, putting on our thinking caps and solving problems. I love that about our community.
